At this stage, the biggest goal is helping the child notice patterns, not just memorizing random words. So phonics-based spelling games + short, frequent practice works best. 1. Say, Spell, Cover, Write, Check The child says the word, spells it aloud, then covers it. They write it from memory and finally check against the correct version. It builds focus and recall with just a few words at a time. 2. Segmenting & Blending Out Loud The child breaks a word into sounds (e.g., ship → /sh/ /i/ /p/), writes the letters, then blends them back to read it. This links phonics knowledge directly to spelling. I'll write further instructions for you in the group chat you can check it out!
